1937 WALT DISNEY PLUTO ORIGINAL PRODUCTION DRAWING ANIMATION ART PAGE HH 1930s For Sale

This is an Original Art Drawing of Pluto, done in 1937 for the production of the classic Goofy animated motion picture theatrical short Hawaiian Holiday by Walt Disney Productions. It is a great, playful, and wonderfully expressive production drawing of Pluto, done in pencil. There are animator production notes in pencil as well, with numbering that likely indicates the scene this would have been prepared for. The full sheet measures approximately 10\" by 12\", and is standard 5-peghole animation paper (3 round, 2 rectangular). If you hold the paper up to the light, you can see the \"Management Bond\" watermark in the paper (which is another confirmation of authenticity). It is in very good condition, particularly considering the age of the piece (more than 75 years old!), with some paper aging and general handling wear around the edges. There is rounding of the corners, with light creasing at the top left corner, and heavier creasing at the bottom right corner. There is also a small chip out of the paper at the top right corner. This was mostly left out of the picture by the scanner, so please be aware of this. The actual image area is very nice, and if the piece were matted and framed, the wear around the edges would not be an issue. This is an outstanding rare vintage piece of Disneyana magic, and a magnificent example to own from the Golden Age of Disney featuring one of their most famous and most recognizable characters (who was of course the dog of their most iconic character, Mickey Mouse).
