This is the final edition 1987 1988 Buck 184. Buck realized early the compass in the handle was a bad idea and went to this similar model with the Silva compass. This knife is new and never used. It has never been inserted into the sheath, as this can cause scratches. Still has the matte finish of a new knife. Sheath scratches are easily removed with the Flitz metal polish. Comes with its original box with original paperwork. Even has original price tag. The box has some creases and ink loss as expected. Sheath and stone are also new. Emergency kit included. These continue to increase in collectability and price over the years. You can buy the cheap Chinese knockoffs for about $50 as people are selling these as replicas for over $100. Dont be fooled. If you want the knockoff they are called Ramster knifes and sold on for $50. These will never increase in value but are a decent knife for the price. Thanks
