Civil War US Officer Sword, 1851 AMES:

This sword belonged to the family of Thomas Jackson, retired Captain in the Civil War. After the war he attended Law School and his diploma signed by President Grant. It is an 1851 Officers Sword, Ames, along with part of the scabbard. The sword is in very nice condition, nice blade with really fine detail. It measures 36" long. Over time the scabbard has separated and is missing the lower portion.
