Dog Head Lg Pitcher Vase Burnished Clay Hand Painted Michoacán Mexican Folk Art For Sale

This is a really SubtleLarge Size Black and Gray Decorative Dog Head Pitcher or Vasewith delicately hand painted Birds and flowers.Due to the high polish on this piece it is difficult to photograph properly, it is much nicer in person!!! Thispieceis all handmade, hand painted by a husband and wife team in the community ofHuancito in Michoacan Mexico. It is signed on the bottom by the husband, and is alovely example of traditional pottery from this part of Mexico. I recently received a large shipment of vases from Rosalia and her husband Jesus and this is one of three different sizes available for this Dog head pottery. It measures 11 1/4 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide and 8 1/4 inches deep.

Please note that I would not fill with water for flowers. The clay isporous and will absorb the water and may damage the glaze. Use Dried or Silk flowers if you want to use for flower arrangements..
