You are offerding on a large, very rareoriginal antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts a pug dog mother and her pups. Very rare early look at the breed. Interestingly, the caption refers to the breed as the CHinese Edible Dog Breed. There is long article (34 inches) in French that starts on the back of the print and continues to another page (included). Computer translation should make reading the article pretty easily.

The French caption and article headline reads: Les chien comestible des Chinois
which translates to: The Chinese edible dog

It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures about 7.5 x 8 inches, with a Frenchcaption below. There is unrelated text surrounding the print. which could be trimmed for framing.
