Fine Vintage Eskimo Carved Seal, Light Greenish Soapstone, Signed, Canada, 1970s For Sale

This is a vintage, handmade Eskimo carved seal was made of light greenish soapstone in Canada during the 1970s. It is signed but partly illegible. I can make out what might be a last name “SHOO”. The piece represents Canadian Aboriginal culture and falls under the categories of collectibles and Canadian Aboriginal cultures and ethnicities.

Circa 1970s. I bought it an Estate sale in Binghamton NY in the early 1980s.

Condition, a few light spots on the surface and there is a chip on the edge of the base that is not visible when this little sculpture is displayed. I do love the seal’s big smile.
