Facts about the cross.This most important ornamental cross in the world now is notmade by a goldsmith from the Vatican, but it is a work of a small artisanmaster craftsman, Giuseppe Albrrizzi in Pavia, Italy. However, as Albrizziexplains himself, the original design of the cross was made by his teacher, thecraftsmen, Antonio Vedele:"Thecross was made by me, but it was drawn by my teacher, Antonio Veldele, for whomI worked until 1978.
