DOWN the RABBIT HOLE
Mostly Handmade diorama depicting Alice and her cat meetingthe White Rabbit about to descend a hole to reach Wonderland.
The removable green space and hole opening are made fromporcelain clay with a cell battery light on the underside to lightup the inside of a tree I fashioned from cardboard, aluminiumfoil, paper toweling, glue and hand fashioned. I applied acrylicpaint in several colors to mimic the color of bark.
Alice in seen in various poses as she falls to the floor of a room whereshe is presented with grow tall and shrinking liquid as the WhiteRabbit is assisted in his descent with the aid of an open umbrella Imade for him as they both pass different pieces of furniture and aclock. Alice rests against a chair and in the backgroud is a fireplacewith candles which glow in the dark.
Under the floor I made space to store the cell batteries that light thefireplace and the cell switch light that powers the blue fairy lightsembedded on the inside of the tree rim. Magnets were embeddedin the bottom front of the tree for easy removal the access the switchmechanisms.
The felt lined wooden base (@3/4" high) measures @8 1/2" in diameter.The tree is 12" tall.
This item is suitable for a night light, book nook and could even bemade into a lamp base.
