ORIGINAL 1950s COUNTRY QLD CITY MAIN STREET HISTORIC TATTERSALLS PHOTO EJ BARR!

One 8 inch by 10 inch black & white matte photograph, taken sometime in the late 1940s to mid 1950s by EJ Parr, then of Toowoomba. It was printed on Kodak G-2 double-weight professional paper of the time.

Photo depicts an active 1950s business & leisure scape in an unknown main street, in Queensland. Clues to identify include the Tattersalls building, a traditional arched post office at left front(see zoom image of front sign - the words ‘post office’ are just discernible, but the town name is difficult) & a fairly unique town clock structure.

Photograph shows some minor age and handling wear, but remains in excellent overall condition, despite being nearly 70 years old!
