Vintage 1946 Philco Tube Portable Radio Roll Top Wood Case #46-350

When I plug radio in nothing turns on. The channel dial moves properly and the one to turn the radio off and on/volume works as it should because I can hear that little click when I turn it...however the radio doesn't turn on.

Has some scratches, scuffs, leather handle is torn. Roll top works. No chips or cracks. I'm not knowledgeable on radios. There is a piece in the back with wires hanging down but I don't know if that plugs in somewhere which would turn the radio on or not (photo 20). Brown cord is in good shape with no exposed wires.

Measures 12 1/4" x 9 3/4" x 5 1/4". Weighs 9 pounds (prior to packaging)
