RARE ART DECO 1920 CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL WINTER SKI CHRISTMAS POWDER COMPACT SIGNED.

SIZE: 2 1/2" X 2 1/4 x 1/2" thickness, all approx.

DESCRIPTION :RARE ART DECO 1920 CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL WINTER SKI CHRISTMAS POWDER COMPACT SIGNED. Silver metal compact, 6 sided scalloped edges, some darkening to edge design. It features a downhill skier in a red ski suit, with raised green Christmas trees on a snowy whitebackground. Back has Christmas trees embossed pattern with makers mark, believed to be European (?).

Interior: Gold wash interior, with powder area, no puff, mirror with good reflection and intact, a tiny chip to edge, see photos.

Compact opens and closes correctly, hinge is firm and stable. This is a rare and unusual compact.
