With its high ceiling and ornate woodwork, it's easy to see why the house and its library was in the same family for 100 years. Book originally purchased from the W.B. Clarke & Co. Booksellers & Stationers of Boston.

DETAILS/CONDITION: Covers show heavy wear, including: rubbing to extremities, missing backstrip, scuffs, and stains. Shelf-cocked. Brown endpapers. FFEP is loose. Front hinge cracked Rear hinge broken. Book block still attached to binding. Stamp and marginalia on fly leaves. Light foxing, pages are otherwise crisp and clean.
