Rare 1950s vintage SHEAFFER FINELINE Fountain Pen 14k Nib, for Oregonian Staff For Sale

A rare vintage Sheaffer Fineline pen from 1950. Where most Shaeffer finelines have a stainless steel nib, this one sports a 14K gold eversharp nib, which lays down a very nice, smooth F/M line.
An elegant pen with a unique history. The pen has a black body and a gold cap that has developed a lovely patina over time. It looks like the pen was made in 1950 to commemorate the Oregonian (a local Oregon newspaper's) 100 years of service (1850-1950). Seems likely that it may have belonged to a news reporter or staff at the Oregonian.
74 years-old and the pen is still in excellent working order - it fills and writes smoothly.
