US WW1 M1903 Springfield Canvas and Leather Carrying Case For Sale

While this scarce US M1903 Springfieldcarrying case is listed as WW1, I am told by a retired TopSergeant from Fort Lewis that they continuedtoo be used in some Garrisons up until the early days of WW11.Canvas with a leather closing flapthat straps into a steel buckle. There is an original web shoulder strap on the top edge.The straps are original and in good shape. The case islightly soiled from use and there is a small hole,(about one inch) at the lower seam, as shown, that can be easily repaired. The leather is in very good condition.Overall length is 48"
