VINTAGE 1920s WAHL FOUNTAIN PEN OVERSIZE MOTTLED HARD RUBBER MHR 14K #6 FLEXIBLE For Sale

This listing is for a vintage 1920s Wahl fountain pen in mottled hard rubber or MHR with a 14k gold #6 fine flexible nib.

A relatively hard to find model, this example is in excellent condition showing light wear for its nearly 100 year age.

Oversize model measures 5-5/8” or 14cm capped.

MHR cap, section and barrel with gold filled trim.

Gold filled trim has held up exceptionally well over the years with the faintest bit of brassing on some of the high contact points.

Pen is free from any names, initials or personalizations.

The factory Wahl imprint is present towards the top of the cap, below top cap band and above clip. Imprint has a little bit of wear to it, but is still easy to distinguish and read.

The only real flaw I can find on this pen is a tight hairline crack on the cap lip (extends to bottom cap band). Hairline has been sealed and doesn’t look like anything more than a scratch at this point.

MHR retains a nice glossy finish and is even throughout.

Underneath the cap you will find a large Wahl 14k gold #6 nib. The nib has a fine point and is flexible. A smooth writer when tested.

Pen has been restored to working order. Pen was disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted prior to reassembly. Pen fills and writes as it should.
