VINTAGE 1930s SHEAFFER BALANCE FOUNTAIN PEN OVERSIZE GOLDEN BROWN 14K F RESTORED For Sale

This listing is for a vintage 1930s Sheaffer Balance fountain pen in Golden Brown celluloid with gold filled trim and a 14k fine point nib.

Oversize model measures 5-1/2” or 14cm capped.

Vacuum filling model. Filling system has been restored and pen is in working order.

Gold filled clip and cap band are both clean. Maybe a slight touch of brassing to the edges of the cap band, but overall the gold fill has held up well.

Celluloid is clean. Signs of normal usage, general wear and age, but no major wear. I don’t see any chips, cracks or breaks. Cap lip looks like it may have been repaired at one point based on remnants inside the cap lip, but I can’t really tell. If it was repaired it was done well.

14k Sheaffer Lifetime nib. Fine point and firm. Smooth writer.

No names, initials or personalizations. Factory imprint is easily read on the side of the barrel.

Barrel transparency is excellent.

Overall, I would grade this pen in very good to excellent condition. This example would make a perfect everyday user or a nice addition to any vintage pen collection.
