Vintage 1970s Royal Mercury Typewriter Portable w/ Cover Case Clean Works GVC For Sale

for sale is this vintage 1970s Royal Mercury portable typewriter with case.It is in working condition - the keys,including the shift and shift lock key, the carriage return, platen, ribbon color selector, spacing adjustment all work ok, though it probably could use some lubrication and a little tune-up.The ribbon is dry but does leave the letter imprinted on the page.One thing that is a little puzzling to me is that the cover doesn't attach firmly - it lifts off easily. I think maybe there were some rubber grommets in the typewriter body that may have grasped the little posts on the bottom of the cover. Not sure but looks that way to me.The case top and bottom have no cracks or significant defects and the strap and its hardware are in good shape.
This is a really nice and well taken care of typewriter. The keys are all the same color, unlike many that I see here on that have discoloration on some of them.
