Vintage Le Coultre Atmos Clock No. 528-6, 1960-1961 #135855 With Box And Papers For Sale

LeCoultre Atmos Heritage clock “The Perpetual Motion Clock” 528-6, Serial #135855

This clock is dated between 1960-1961, and has a plate on the front “Presented to Maurice Griggs, in recognition of 30 years service, Texaco Inc. 1961”

Not only is this clock a beautiful piece but also a piece of oil and gas history. Maurice Griggs worked for Texaco during the Tulsa Oklahoma oil boom.

This clock features a 15 Jewel self winding movement using changes in atmospheric pressure to wind itself.

It is comprised of gold plated brass, and still has its original luster.

There are some minor scuffs on the top of the shipping case pictured above but otherwise this clock is in beautiful condition, the original case does show its age. It is accompanied by the servicing papers from 1981 in the historic Guthrie, Oklahoma.

I tracked the time over a 7 day period and the clock didn’t skip a beat, timing is perfect and the local clock servicing shop said they believe it’s in perfect working condition.
