Vintage Pair Midcentury Danish Pottery Figurines 1968 Illums Bolighus.

Very cool and interesting pair of Danish art pottery from the late 1960s – a man and a woman, white ceramic glazing and blue overlay

The man is using a hand warmer and has a small dog, while the woman is holding a bird and has a birdcage that she is holding with two birds at her feet near the bottom of her flowing dress

Each figurine measures approximately 13 1/2 inches tall. There was a sticker at the bottom of the man along with a written description/title.

Condition is fair. Unfortunately, some of the smaller pointy parts of the figurines have been chipped and I are missing. For instance, the dog’s front paws, and the tip of his tail. Similarly, the birds, beak or tip of his wing may be missing as pictured. The man’s head has been broken off and repaired at some point in its history.

All in all a cool and interesting set – these are high-end pieces that you don’t find for sale often in the US.
