Vintage Stanley No. 105 Liberty Bell Hand Plane - Nice & Clean - Uncommon!

Offered is a nice uncommon Stanley No. 105 liberty bell hand plane. It is in decent condition for its age. Largely rust free. Some mild discoloration, scuffs and scratches. The rosewood tote does have a split in it in the typical spot where the totes break, should be an easy repair. It looks like it was glued back together at some point. There is a small crack/checking at the bottom of the tote as well. Other than that everything is solid. Knob is in good shape. Original black japanning is still largely intact. Small amounts have worn off but for the most part it is still largely intact. The sole is in good shape. The blade depth adjuster works well. The cutting iron has a “STANLEY PAT. AP’L 19, 92” stamp on it. Overall a nice example of an uncommon plane. It will make a great addition to someone’s collection.
