NiceArredondopoint that measures 2 3/8\" long by 1 3/4 \" wide. Age is not known in context, but style puts it in Middle to Late Archaic period. A variant of this type found on same sites is the Hamilton - which dates in the 5,000 - 3,000 BP range. Made out of cream Costal chert. Found in Burke County, Georgia. Great well made type example. This piece wasfoundby Ray Kilman from Selma, Alabama. He sold it to Dr. Howard Ramsay of Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Ramsay sold some of his collection to John Berner of Roswell, Georgia. I bought this piece from Mr. Berner in 1997.
