Authentic WW2 Bulgarian M36 Steel Type A - Communist Red Star & Bulgarian Flag s - Unique Visible History of Colors - Excellent shape!
This beauty is the rarest and earliest Bulgarian Model 36 Type A steel helmet.The 36A model is identifiable by its rolled edge, two vent holes, and six rivets, all of which are visible on this helmet.
This model is the first type of three Model 36 helmet patterns produced for the Bulgarian army before World War II, manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerk Thale, Germany.
This particular helmet is in excellent condition for its age. There are no dents, and it has the original leather liner with a single chin strap.
This helmet shares a unique story as ithas three different colors of paint visible, showing that the military used it in different war eras:

• The original factory military green paint was the first layer on top of the steel.
• The next layer is a brighter green, used for soldiers in the Yugoslav People\'s Army.
• The most prominent surface color is the darker green that covers the entire helmet, which lasted into the Cold War era.
• Additionally, the helmet\'s front has apainted red communist star and a painted shield with the Bulgarian national colors on the right side. Helmets that still have these markings intact are hard to find!

On military collectors sites, helmets of this style and condition are going for much more.

This is a unique and authentic piece of military history, and it would make a great addition for any military enthusiasts or collectors of authentic World War ll artifacts.
Because of its excellent condition, this would be a great helmet for someone who is into restoring them to their original state. They would likely find the original markings on it as well.
This helmet was purchased from Prague about 15 years ago and has sat on a shelf for display. I am downsizing and am selling off different collections.
