This Recent find comes from the Estate of a Retired Colonel in the US ARMY and WWII Veteran who was a Survivor of Pearl Harbor with the following information from his obituary "A survivor of Pearl Harbor during World War II as a Private before being recommended for Officers training School (On Merit), he also served in Europe at Cerignola, Italy, as an Ordnance Officer with the 455th Bomb Group. After World War II, he served in the Korean War, Japan, Mount Rainier Ordnance Depot, Washington, Redstone Arsenal's Army Ballistic Missile Agency and a four-year tour in Germany. He retired in 1964. After retirement he worked for Mallory, NASA Special Investigator/ Security for Burns Security, ITEC's Purchasing Department."
This listing is for various materials spanning his career in the Military and with ABMA/NASA. Mr. Townsend retired as a Colonel, but you will see in this listing original documents with him referred in various ranks from 1st Lt., Major, Lt. Colonel, etc. Items relate to his time just before/during/after the bombing of Pearl Harbor through the Korean/Vietnam Wars until his retirement and the and includes the items below:

The three smaller photos each have a handwritten number in pencil but has line marked through.
