Historical watch fob:
~ Commemorating AbrahamLincoln on the front with his name, bust, and birth to death dates of 1809 - 1865
~ Reverse says ILLINOIS WATCH COMPANY SPRINGFIELD MAKERS OF THE A LINCOLN WATCH and features an eagle with spread wings on the top and a fancy watch fob band on the bottom
~ Fabulous \"time worn\" woven / braided leather strap or band - I have a feeling this has been on there for quite some time - looks to be original as I am guessing it to be of the same era as the fob. Not stiff or brittle at all - so nice and soft feeling and very flexible
~ I am unsure if this was a medal or token that was produced in 1909 to celebrate his birth centennial and/or if it was to an advertising piece for the A Lincoln rail road watchwhich I have read may have come out around the same time (circa 1907)
~ Antique brass or bronze toned metal
~ Perfect in every way

*MARKS= Under the Abe Lincoln\'s head it reads BL Pratt - for the sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt and on the reverse under the watch fob illustration is what I believe is Whitehead & Hoag for the manufacturer - although it very is small, skippy and hard to make out
*MEASUREMENTS= Token is about 31 mm in diameter - not including the loop or ring. Fob is apron 8\" long x 1/4\" thick. Additional little loop is 1 3/4\" long
*CONDITION= Great vintage condition - no damage or quirks to mention. This has obviously been cherished and very well taken care of
