Many years ago, my wife and I joined a fewgold prospecting clubs and got into the interesting hobby of searching forplacer gold and metal detecting for gold nuggets.

I collect old books on the Gold Rush and wasfascinated by how the miner’s lived and I remember reading about how they begantheir day off with coffee, hard tack, beans, etc. I wasn’t a coffee drinker atthe time but I figured that drinking coffee would wake me up and give me theboost I needed to start the day before we went on one of our crazy goldprospecting adventures. – That’s what sparked my love for coffee. I reallyappreciate the way it smells and tastes!

My wife and I are real picky with theflavor, and the coffee has to be made a certain way in order for us to gain thefull enjoyment of it. That’s why we sell whole bean coffee, because it tastebest when freshly ground. Our customers also love to give these out as gifts because of its uniqueness!

Werecommend grinding one heaping tablespoonof beans per every (measuring) cup of coffee (or a heaping tablespoon per everyfour ounces of water.) Some may like more or less per cup, but that’s the waywe prefer it. Remember to use cold purifiedwater for brewing.

To maintain the best flavor, drink within 20minutes of being on the hot plate. Coffee will usually stay fresh about 30 daysafter opening but some prefer to consume it within 14 days. (Please seal wellafter opening to maintain freshness.)
