Beautiful handmade artisan Santa Claus figure featuring a hand-painted face, wool beard and eyebrows, red felt coat, and two companion toys that look to be made of mohair—a white and brown teddy bear. This charming folk art Santa has a warm vintage appearance and displays wonderfully as part of a Christmas, Santa, or holiday collection.

The quality of construction suggests this was created by a skilled studio artist or craftsperson. The figure is unsigned and was found at the estate of an antique collector.

Condition

Very good pre-owned condition. No major damage noted. The bottoms of the boots show old dried glue residue, indicating the figure was likely originally mounted to a decorative base that is no longer present (I'm guessing that base was probably where the artist signature was). Displays well and stands fairly well on it's own as shown but can be a little top heavy. Needs a firm surface for best results. Please review all photos carefully for complete condition details.
