This beautifully illustrated linen view highlights the classic architecture and charming landscaping of one of the mid-century “motor courts” that catered to the surge of automobile travelers heading into the city.

The Gateway Auto Court was part of theUnited Motor Courtsnetwork, a national association of independently owned roadside motels known for high standards and AAA approval (the AAA logo appears in the lower left corner). These auto courts played an essential role in Las Vegas tourism before the rise of the major Strip hotels.
