Mail Way Bill and Receipt .... for Steamer / Steam Ships delivering cargo and US Mail up the Yukon River from 1916-1920On the reverse side are the postmarks of all the towns for which the postmaster received mail bags from the steamers (you can see notations of the number of locked and unlocked bags & their weight that were given to the mail carrier on the boat). You can see the amount of time it took steamers to travel between towns, boat changes, etc
