Meerschaum Antique Pipe Bearded Man In Hat With Large Feather Around Brim Boxed For Sale

Antique Used meerschaum Pipe. Depicting a bearded Mans Head with Feather around Hat. Lots of fine detail. An Estate pipe, Half bent. Used condition with fantastic, aged patina all over the Block Carved medium, and negligible wear. Extremely minor fritting along bowl edge but no damage to mentions.  A Bakelite mouthpiece with multiple colours, cherry, yellow and Cognac. The pipe is Hallmarked twice, with a Sun emblem but origin has not been confirmed. This Pipe comes with its original Shagreen case, excellent aged condition with 3 negligible rum marks but no damage as such. clasp works firmly as it should. Lovely quality, excellent tactile feel and very nice in the hand. Ideal for the collector or to actually use. Dimensions approx. overall length 14cm measured diagonally, pipe Bowl is approx. 3cm in width with a 2cm hole. A rare chance to buy a pipe of this size and quality. Ideal for period film or drama prop. This is a vintage item with probably close to 100 years of use, but has obviously been cared for and retaining the original case is a good example, and acquired a nice patina that only adds more charm to it. Please refer to photos as they form part of the description.
