PAN AMERICAN WORLD AIRWAYS1957 ARTIST DRAWN AND COLOREDCHECK IN COUNTER DISPLAYNEVER APPROVED BY PAA "ONE OF"
From my long time PAA collection. The original 1957 check in counter artwork display hand drawn and colored which was going to hold current timetables and never approved. You have seen the couples smiling faces on many Pan American newspaper and magazine ad's.
Measures 17 inches by 14 inches with a pocket attached to hold current time tables.
Produced on Bainbridge art board number 169, and the artist Edward Ryan N.Y.C. art gallery address and info encircled in his art pallet logo as shown.
Its rear folding stand still attached with the small artboard support to hold it erect has detached and with old tape still on it as shown.
The artist's pencil lines still visible. Artboard paint still bright and intact as shown.
I have included an original Atlantic division timetable dated July 1952 which would have been placed inside the holder.
This is the only "one of" produced prototype PAA Time Table known as it was never approved for production.
A very rare part of Pan American World airways History.
