Condition B, newly linenbacked.
Artist: Jules Marie, Auguste Leroux. (1871-1954) was born during the Paris Commune, and lived in Paris thoughout his long career. A painter and illustrator, Leroux illustrated a wide range of works, which are now highly collectable. As a lithographer, he worked with some of the best engravers of the period.
Description: A very good condition poster with a banner added to the bottom that was originally with the poster. It\'s important to keep these historical articles accurate, and it\'s rare to find a poster with the bottom banner included. This poster features a French \"Poilu\" returning home on leave and grabbing up his daughter. A gesture so human and moving. The poster asks you to subscribe to the third loan, for the France that fights, and for those who every day grow bigger.
