For sale is an exceptionally rare, very early Border Fine Arts wildlife sculpture featuring a beautifully detailed River Otter resting on a rustic log branch.

This substantial piece was modeled by the highly respected studio artist Debbie Edlmann and issued in 1978. It is a strict, low-run Limited Edition piece, individually numbered 174 out of only 350 produced worldwide. The artist's name "Edlmann", the year "'78", and the unique edition number "174/350" are clearly inscribed directly into the mold base.

The sculpture sits on its original stone-effect composite base and retains the original gold foil studio label on the green felt underside, confirming it was handmade in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
