This is a vintage Crabtree & Evelyn (Purveyors of Fine Toiletries and Comestibles) large storage tin with a fox hunting design motif. This tin is dated 1988 and made in England, it probably held some kind of biscuits/cake. These tins were used for decorative storage after the food was consumed. This tin is very Ralph Lauren inspired with its fox hunting painting depiction and design. - The fox hunting painting on this tin was produced with the permission of Count Bernard De Claviere D'Hust. The writing and accenting on this tin was done in gold.
Tin is in great shape and does not have any corrosion in the interior or exterior. It has some mild storage wear on the top, some surface marks/scratches and a small circular stain. The sides are in great condition with minimal wear. Comes from a smoke free home.
