Two RPPC Brookville PA L.A. Leathers Used Car Dealer Ford Auto History Postcards For Sale

Pair of early 20th‑century real photo postcards from Brookville, Pennsylvania, showing groups of men with early automobiles. One RPPC features a posed group in front of the brick building with the “For GOOD USED CARS See! L. A. LEATHERS CO.” sign. The second shows seven men gathered around an early open‑top automobile on a brick street with storefronts and a Tydol sign visible. Strong automotive, occupational, and small‑town Pennsylvania interest.
Though the commercial used‑car sign in this photograph faded into local history, the manufacturing spin‑off did not. The Brookville Truck and Tractor Company evolved into the Brookville Locomotive Works, and today it operates as the Brookville Equipment Corporation. A century later, the company founded by a small‑town Ford dealer remains a major global manufacturer of modern streetcars, trolleys, and underground mining locomotives.
