VTG 1950s Japanese Nesting Fukuruma Dolls Wood Matryoshka Hand Painted Souvenir For Sale

Set of 6 vintage Japanese Fukuruma nesting dolls, likely a souvenir piece dating to the 1940s-1950s timeframe. These hand painted wooden Matryoshka style dolls range in size from a little over 1" to a bit over 5".

Condition is good/ fair.

The 2nd smallest doll has a crack in the bottom part with a small hole that is likely caused by a manufacturing defect leaving the wood too thin. Paint on largest doll is more faded and worn than the other two, this is to be expected with this age.
