Item is an antique Raphael Tuck Chromolithograph, embossed and varnished paper rocking toy UPS AND DOWNS. Item features poem written by Norman Gale. Front features a young girl and boy seated upon a wood plank balenced on a log, a small dog stand in the middle. Reverse bears the poem, tucks signature stamp, and folds out the easel.
Designed in England for his majesties, King & Queen. Item is printed in Barvaria. Toy has a curved base with a fold out easel that allows the toy to rock back and forth simoler to a rocking chair or rocking horse.These are original victorian paper toys! They are not reprints or downloads. Each one has some damage and brittleness due to the age of these items. Easels have been taped into place, and there is damage on smaller pieces. This rocker, the girls head, has been torn free and taped into place. Cardboard itself is brittle, and as such, there are tears and rips present.
