Vintage Authentic Fortuny Panel "Carnavalet" in Heavier Cotton ZZ123 For Sale

From Fortuny's catalog: "When Elsie McNeill Lee visited Paris’ Carnavalet Museum, she immediately fell in love with the lush fabrics covering the walls. Little did she know that her life from that moment on would forever be dedicated to celebrating those fabrics around the globe. The 17th-century inspired French design—with magnificent and intricate garden urns abundant with flowers—is framed by lavish cornucopia and elaborate scrolling swag. CARNAVALET was Mariano Fortuny’s first decorative design commission."
For sale is a panel retrievedand restoredfrom old curtains from the 1950's or 1960's. It was originally the white/gold color way of "Carnavalet". It is made from the heavier cotton that Fortuny uses for upholstery. .The gold, however, is significantly muted and looks perhaps more silvery than gold. The white is now ecru. But this fabric is still gorgeous and reusable.
The condition is very good. One finds some irregular yellowing here and there, as pictured
