1925 Antique Original - Dollar Steamship Line First class ticket #138 for a Mr. Peter Johnson in booklet from LA, CA to Alexandria, Egypt (Africa). Passenger Manifest- Stops in NY, NY, Manilla, PI and Colombo, Shri Lanka. Fare was $1000 paid in gold. Trip was on Ocean liner S.S. President Van Buren, S.S. Pres. Harrison, and S.S. Pres Hayes. Includes $5 documentary US revenue stamp and Dollar steamship LA Port entry stamp. This was distinct luxury travel cruise line of the time for world travelers. All Ships were of the Presidential Line of steamships. The company was founded in 1900 and essentially out of business by 1938 soon after founder Captain Robert Dollar died.

Booklet cover is staple bound trifold cardboard cover with printed globe design 8” x 4.25”. Tickets and stamped passage documented clearly inside with tear out stubs. All in Extremely good condition. There is very minor edge and corner wear. Several stubs are missing (used) and two remain attached. I have not found another similar age and condition after world travel.
