AS THIS IS AN LED CONVERSION THE POLARITY OF THE BATTERIES HAS TO REVERSED. SO JUST PUT D CELLS IN OPPOSITE OF WHAT LIGHT SHOWS. THE LED CONVERSION MAKES IT MUCH MUCH BRIGHTER. I test each light a second time prior to shipping.

THESE LIGHTS WITH INCADESENT BULBS ARE NEARLY UNUSABLE. WITH THE LED BULB THEY ARE MANY TIMES BRIGHTER AND ACTUALLY FUNCTIONAL. YOU CAN HAVE LIGHT OFF, ON, OR USE SWITCH TO SIGNAL CODE.
