This antique letter from 1802 appears to be written to the father of Daniel Webster's future law partner, Timothy Farrar Jr.
The letter is addressed to Timothy Farrar, a New Hampshire Judge in New Ipswich. It mentions what looks like “Timothy Farrar Junior” with a note about a sermon.
This letter is in really tough shape, and may further deteriorate in travel. There are many missing holes in the page, it is brittle, and very weak.
The letter provides a unique glimpse into the life of the early 19th century, with its beautiful handwriting and historical context. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection of historical ephemera, especially for those interested in early American law and politics.
All ephemera has wear commensurate to age, including, potentially: nicks, folds, smudges, rips at edges, stains, old smells, rips at folds , holes, and other imperfections. You get what you see :)
