Antique Philadelphia Newspaper from 1902, Discusses “Gangs” and Jacob Riis RARE For Sale

An incredible print, it’s a complete copy and I haven’t found another copy of another print.

This newspaper has a lot of interesting discussion including the reactions of a recent speech by the famous Jacob Riis (the famous reformer who showed poverty and gangs in ways that had never before been done.)

It also includes a very interesting piece discussing the issue “gangs” in the cities.

This was written in 1902, so this would have been about 12 years before WWI.

It’s been through a lot to get here.
