Originally invented in the 1800s for an extravagant dish know as Canard à la presse, a dish from Rouen.

The restaurant La Tour d'Argent of Paris is famous for the same dish. 

This is a beautiful piece of cast iron and blue enamel, made in France, and would look fabulous in a farmhouse style kitchen or as a shop or restaurant as a decorative statement piece.

Anthony Bourdain called duck presses the most medieval of all kitchen tools. 

The press is still fully functioning, complete, and turns freely. It's in good condition. 

The colour is gold and not rust, except partially for the removable metallic interior pierced part.
