18" Cobalt Blue!

These Abolite 18" Lights were rescued from the old Liberty Motor Plant near Indianapolis IN. These six, sold separately, are available for $399 each with everything seen. The pipes are new 6" galvanized, up to 12" availableupon request.

These all have quite a bit of chipping and/or rust on the edges, yellowing of the bottoms, fading or small chips on the top, maybe a chip in the center, etc. . These are considered to be B or B- grade. For the buyer looking for mild to medium authentic patina but modern-day safe performance.

The sockets are a perfect fit. They are brand new with a ground wire....Pass Your Inspections!!

Manufactured circa 1920'by Abolite.

Back when these lights were manufactured, blue porcelain shades were far more expensive to produce than their white or green counterparts, thus they cost substantially more. So much more in fact, people rarely bought them. This resulted in fewer being produced, fewer surviving and higher cost for the ones that did. This one happens to be even more rare. It has a flat shade that allows the bulb to light in all directions instead of straight down or a little off to the sides. I've never had another like it.

For those of you looking for perfection, this light is not for you. If you want your light to look vintage and perform like new, then they just may be perfect for you.

The newer swivel hanger will allow the light to hang plumb even from a ceiling that is not level. It also helps protects the lights from bumps and bruises if struck.

The length of the wire will accommodate up to a 36 inch down-rod.

The light will be shipped in several pieces to be re-assembled by the buyer.

I will include the wire-nuts, might save you a trip to the hardware store!
