Description ​This is an ORIGINAL pair of Captain\'s lapel/collar insignia, as worn during WWI by officers of that rank. The rank insignia is the \"false bullion\" type worn during WWI with pinback attachments. Both insignia are in VERY GOOD+ condition and need only to be polished with Simichrome or other polishes to a brilliant shine.The bars have no hallmarks. Here\'s a chance for the WWI insignia collector or re-enactor to obtain a beautiful pair of captain\'s rank insignia for his collection or impression. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and satisfaction and a five-day (not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.PLEASE NOTE: I will be mailing the insignia by first class mail in a padded envelope at an approximate postage of $5, rather than the erroneous priority mail postage appearing in the listing, and refunding the unused postage after mailing.
