Unique Pair Hand Crafted Cryptomeria Wooden Whales Mid Century Modern Japan
These are beautifully crafted very unique pieces of art. One of the whales has a hole on its head (probably to hold a candle).
Cryptomeria (meaning hidden parts) is a monotypics genus of conifer. It is endemic to Japan, where it is known as "sugi". The tree is called Japanese sugi pine or Japanese red-cedar.
