Vintage Goebel's Co-Boy Porcelain Fishing Gnome Petri Made in W. Germany 1972 For Sale

An adorable hand painted Goebel's Co-Boy Porcelain Gnome "Petri." He's happy and having a lot of luck fishing. He measures approximately 7 1/4" tall, 9 3/4" tall including the pole, 3" wide and 3 3/4" deep. Imprinted on the bottom is WELL 519, 1972. He's in very nice condition without cracks or chips with some light scratches and scuffs.AIn order to market the Co-Boys, Goebel created a fictional back story.The Gnomes live in Coburg, Germany. There actually is a Coburg, Germany, a town of over 40,000 inhabitants located on the Itz River in Bavaria.The Co-Boy series was produced by Goebel from1971 to 1986.
