WW1 Grimwades Bruce Bairnsfather World War One Jug 1917 ‘Staying On A Farm’ For Sale

 The photo that shows a close up IS NOT a chip - it is just discolouration!

For sale is a rare circa 1914 - 1917 WW1 Grimwades Bruce Bairnsfather Signed ‘At present we are staying on a farm' Milk Jug, marked on the base “GB Grimwades Winton Stoke on Trent England” the base of the jug also depicts the royal coat of arms (See photos), and the front is a satire illustration of, not best pleased soldiers, in what's left of a farm, saying "At present we are staying on a farm". 

Signed by Bruce bairnsfarther. 

These pieces were sold during and after the war to raise money for the soldiers of Great Britain and the common wealth. This was satire and humerus at the time .

The milk jug is one of the rarer bits of the set to collect, unfortunately there is crazing but no chips. Gold gilt has worn off in places - please see photos for more details. The photo shown in close up isn't a chip - discolouration! 

I have seen the more common 'Old Bill' for sale at around the £100 - £180 mark, but haven't found another one of the 'staying on a farm' jugs anywhere.
