HANDMADE PAPIER-MÂCHÉ, AUTHENTIC FUR, LONG HAIRED LURCHER TYPE DOG FIGURINE… (FYI: THE LURCHER IS A TYPE NOT A BREED). NO TAG… NO MARKS… IN INCREDIBLY PRISTINE CONDITION. A FINE ESTATE ACQUISITION - RARE SURVIVOR FROM THE INTERWAR PERIOD BETWEEN WORLD WAR I AND WORLD WAR II 1918 THROUGH 1940 THE COLOR OF THE COAT IS IVORY WITH A FEW PATCHES OF BRIDLE. RARE GRAY GLASS EYES. COMPOSITE SNOUT. EXTENSIVE RESEARCH SUGGEST MADE IN GERMANY (THURINGIN/SONNEBERG).

Approximate dimensions are 5 1/2 inches high… 10 inches wide… 3 inches deep. A product of cottage industries to assist small German villages with rebuilding after the First World War. villagers would either produce the entire figure and ship/export from a central destination, or they would do certain steps and pass the project to the next village.

A true discriminating collector will recognize the extreme rarity of this item. Please refer to the photographs… Could not find any damage whatsoever. there are no tags or markings.
