Antique 19th century Russian Orthodox Christian brass traveling triptych folded icon\" Deesis with Selected Saints.\"

Opened, the central leaf shows Christ enthroned in the attitude of blessing with Gospels, flanked by John the Baptist and the Virgin. The left leaves display St. John the Theologian, the saints\' prelates Nicholas the Wonderworker and Metropolitan Philip.

On the left fold are unknown figures. Russian Cyrillic inscriptions are on all three decorated panels.

The outer leaf displays The Calvary Cross and crucifixion symbols in a medallion with Jerusalem in the background.

CONDITION: In its original condition, showing the age and usage, some enamel losses.
