Purchased at a Galveston Texas estate sale years ago. I believe this photograph comes from that region. Southern gentlemen holding two women. Please see photos.

I have received several questions pertaining to the theme of this photograph. Some have messaged me saying that they believe the two women to be the daughters of the man shown. Unfortunately, the history behind this photograph has been lost so we may never know for sure. The man's hands grasping high on the women's waists and the makeup embellishments which were enhanced, "post production" led me to believe these women could be prostitutes. I leave their identities open to the viewer's interpretation--after all, that is part of the fun of these old photographs! What kind of lives did these people live?!
